The AM-2/2A is the Alliance's diversionary & incapacitatory munition of choice. The Ion burst, which would have once been ineffective, has been multiphased to create a burst which can even disrupt the non-electrical systems of modern technology. The burst has been known to disrupt nervous systems within a meter of center-blast, and is guarenteed to disrupt all technology within the blast radius.

It is always colored orange, and contains the same safeties as the AM-1/1A, despite the cylinder shape of the 2A, and the slightly diffrent shape of the 2.
