The AM-7 is an Alliance Grenadier's ultimate strike weapon. Technically a micro-micro torpedo, it cannot be fired at distances of less than 1 Km. The huge detonation precludes it's use at even those ranges as anything but a suicide last-resort weapon. It is a long-range, hand-held WMD, for lack of a better term, capible of destroying massive concentrations of enemy troops, or almost any enemy fortification. The blast comes from a zero-point detonation of space itself, creating a vacuum flux that unleashes enough energy to create a 900 m in diameter blast zone of 100 million degree centigrade heat. The small size of the detonation matrix causes a problem that basicly makes this weapon impossible to use except at maximum level detonation.

The munition comes in a suicide suitcase, with plasmite/peldite lining to prevent unauthorized use. The case has three diffrent ID checks, and each of the 5 rounds inside has a sleeve of peldite, with it's own indepentent ID checker. Authorization must be granted from the overall commanding officer for the field of battle for the unpacking process to begin.
