The CSS Long Shot is a beast most unusual.  In the short time that she has been known, she has been tweaked and fixed and done so many strange things in her time.  

The first known record of her comes from early in the Imperial Wars, as the current Galactic war was known then, coming in to dock at the Hyperlight Industries spacedock at Earth.  Surprisingly, according to the records, the captain managed to somehow call in a favor from the company, getting free docking somehow.  From there, it went on to work with the company, helping them with escorting their fleet and other tasks.  She has fought several running battles with parts of Ohansu Battlefleets, during such escort missions.  

In 3255, she saw the launch of the cityships, running the last of such missions, before a million strong Ohansu armada bearing down on Earth.  Just barely escaping through the transwarp conduit, she landed with the ships in the Tigris Expanse, a harsh and volitile region on the far side of the galaxy.
