1) What is Alliance Command?

A) Alliance Command is a shared story universe, meaning multiple authors all working together to create a cohesive storyline, bound by some single thread, in this case, the war to liberate the galaxy.

In other senses of the question, Alliance Command could be considered a mix of sci-fi, magic, Star Trek and Star Wars. This is where many of the best storylines spotter can end up, usually mutated beyond all recognition. The authors know they are there; you might not, but the authors will know. Alliance Command tailors to magic users, to the sci-fi captains, to anyone who is willing to join and help out, provided you don't ruin the experience for others. Then, you get called out by the PPC. Let's just say that you don't want to know who they are.

2) How can I work with others?

A) The yahoo group attached to this wiki (there should be a link down at the bottom of the pages somewhere) is the current discussion board for alliance command until the owner and primary writer for this universe can get an actual forum. There is also a IRC channel, but that will be handed out to those who have need, until another channel can be found (The current channel is piggy-backing on the parent universe's channel until such time as an independant IRC channel can be formed.) Better yet, there are Instant messangers available, should you ask about them. This is in place for stories that require close contact between two authors, or if you're trying to create a role-playing simulation within the universe.

3) Is this some kind of Trekkie place?

A) No more than it is a Star Wars universe. It may have very, very early on started as such, but it has since moved off on it's own tangent, with a new backstory forming to create a unique identity all it's own. As long as you are not blatently plagerizing, or bringing the copywrite police down upon this place, you are free to draw inspiration from other universes. (But be warned, the owner does have ways of finding out if something has been copied. It's called Google.)

4) Will there be more FAQ's coming?

A) Yes, like all pages on this wiki, this is a page forever in progress.
